The 2016-2017 season will be my first with Team Amore and I am so excited to be a part of this organization!

Anna Bohn, Director & Coach

My name is Anna Bohn and I have the privilege of being the Director and a coach for Team Amore Synchronized Skating Teams. I grew up skating competitively at Line Creek Ice Arena in Kansas City for 15 years and then moved on to coach. I skated for Kansas City Illusion Synchronized Skating Teams for 10 years and have passed my Senior Moves in the Field Test and my Intermediate Free Skate Test. I have had the pleasure of coaching over 20 competitive and non-competitive skaters in my 5 years as a coach and specialize in turns, footwork, and Moves in the Field.

After high school, I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education and currently work as a 4th Grade Teacher in the Platte County R-3 Schools. My husband, 2 dogs, and I now live in Kansas City but spend a lot of time out in Independence at the rink! In addition to teaching 4th grade and coaching synchro, I also am a private lesson instructor in Independence. The 2016-2017 season will be my first with Team Amore and I am so excited to be a part of this organization!

Jessica Kukal, Assistant Director & Coach

Greetings skaters and families! I come to you from the Washington Park Ice Arena in Jefferson City, MO where I was a competitive ISI and USFS skater for 12 years. Following high school I began my coaching career. Over the last 10 years, I have had wonderful opportunities to coach over 30 individual students, choreograph over 100 individual programs for competitions, coach 6 synchronized skating teams, bring those 6 teams to more than 20 competitions both locally and nationally, and meet Gold level standards as an ISI competition judge.

Washington Park Ice Arena is known for its extravagant ice shows and theaters. We spend months preparing for a 3 day show! These shows are major productions that involve special lighting, costumes and music. I have participated in shows for the last 15 years as a group lessons participant, soloist, feature and club member and then as an instructor and coach. I have choreographed group numbers for levels basic to free style as well as feature numbers and soloist performances. At Independence Community Ice I directed our first Theatre on Ice program, The Grinch, which had almost 40 participants and over 2,000 attendees.

I am currently a coach and the assistant director for Independence's own Team Amore Synchronized Skating Team as well as a private instructor for competitive and non competitive skaters.
